Our Pastors
Pastor Jim Mead is a 1999 graduate of Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida where he earned a B.A. in Pastoral Theology. In 2006 he earned a ThM from Slidell Seminary in Slidell, Louisiana. Pastor Mead and his family came to New Covenant Church in July of 2007 after serving for 5 years at First Baptist Church in Straford, Iowa. Pastor Mead, his wife Laura and children, Brendan, Shaylee and Madelyn, are committed to serving the Lord Jesus Christ. Pastor’s vision for our church is to become a Biblical Community of Believers, Unified in Purpose, Dynamic in Growth and Influential in the World, all for the Glory of God.
Senior Pastor Jim Mead and his family
Pastor Ethan Book is a 2005 graduate of Kirkwood Community College and is currently continuing his education. Pastor Ethan and his family (Becca, Caleb, and Hannah) came to New Covenant Church in June of 2004 after working in youth ministry for the previous four years. He enjoys spending time with his family outdoors fishing and working with their chickens and cattle. Pastor Ethan is passionate about building genuine relationships with students that are transparent and real.
